Last updated: 2 June 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how Savera Fashion ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit saverafashion.com (the "Site") or buy from us. We are committed to handling your data in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Savera Fashion sells women's apparel manufactured in India to customers in the United Kingdom and the European Union. We are the "data controller" for the personal information you provide.

Contact: sales@saverafashion.com

2. What we collect

  • Identity & contact data: name, billing/delivery address, email, phone number.
  • Order data: products ordered, transaction amounts, payment method (we do not store card numbers — payment is processed by Shopify Payments / Stripe).
  • Account data: if you create an account — username, password (encrypted), order history, saved addresses, wishlist.
  • Technical & usage data: IP address, device type, browser, pages viewed, time on site (via cookies, see Section 7).
  • Marketing preferences: whether you've opted in to our newsletter, what content you engage with.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you when you place an order, sign up for our newsletter, contact us, or create an account.
  • Automatically when you browse the Site (via cookies and analytics tools — see Section 7).
  • From third parties: payment processors (Shopify, Stripe, Klarna), shipping carriers (Royal Mail, DHL), and analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel).

4. Lawful basis for processing

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6:

  • Performance of a contract — to process and ship your order.
  • Legal obligation — to keep tax records (HMRC), respond to legal requests, prevent fraud.
  • Legitimate interests — to improve our site, prevent fraud, and (where lawful) send marketing communications about similar products to existing customers.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, third-party marketing, and certain promotional emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5. How we use your data

  • To process orders, take payment, and ship to you.
  • To respond to support queries, returns, and refunds.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping updates).
  • To send marketing emails or SMS — only with your consent or where lawful as an existing customer; you can unsubscribe any time.
  • To improve our products, site, and service through aggregate analytics.
  • To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

6. Sharing your data

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers — Shopify (our platform), payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe, Klarna, PayPal), shipping carriers, email marketing providers (Klaviyo or similar), analytics providers (Google, Meta).
  • Tax authorities — HMRC, EU IOSS intermediary, where legally required.
  • Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring party.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for: site functionality (cart, login), analytics (Google Analytics 4), advertising (Meta Pixel, Google Ads), and personalisation. On first visit you'll see a cookie banner — you can accept, decline, or selectively allow categories.

You can also disable cookies in your browser, but some site features will not work correctly.

8. International data transfers

Some of our service providers (notably our fulfilment partner in India, and analytics providers in the US) operate outside the UK/EU. When personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the UK's adequacy decisions, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement as appropriate, to ensure your data continues to be protected.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed:

  • Order data: 6 years (for HMRC tax records).
  • Account data: until you ask us to delete it, or until 3 years of inactivity.
  • Marketing data: until you withdraw consent.
  • Technical/analytics data: up to 26 months in aggregated form.

10. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Restriction — limit our processing of your data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object — to marketing or processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, for any processing based on consent.

To exercise any right, email sales@saverafashion.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures — TLS encryption on all pages, secure payment processing via PCI-DSS-compliant providers, access controls, and regular security reviews. No transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

12. Children

Our products are not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will notify existing customers by email.
